²¹ Zabad, his son, and Shuthelah, his son. Ezer and Elead were killed by men born in the land of Gath when they led a raid to take away their cattle. ²² Their father Ephraim mourned for them for a long time, and his relatives came to comfort him. ²³ Then he slept with his wife again, and she conceived and bore a son whose name was Beriah because misfortune had visited his family.^[a]
